isGift method

This method is one of the oldest ones - and it is patched almost completely now! People used it to "buy" items which are actually no longer on the market paying coins for them only instead of cash. After this got patched you could still get a 2nd, 3rd etc. pigpen and other market (construction) buildings with number restrictions. Your first building had to be finished first. Additional buildings (nursery, chicken coop) are recently reported to be deleted by Z*, probably due to technical problems they are causing with existing functions, which have been developed for only one building.

Attention: isGift will always charge you coins or fv$, so watch out and don't use it on non-locked market items.
Using Charles setting isGift = false will do the same as if you clicked on the market to buy the item!!
Steps:
1) Load your farm, open Charles
2) Take a random item out of your giftbox and leave it hanging in the air.
3) Turn on breakpoints in Charles. Place your item on the farm, wait for Charles to pop up.
4) In the upcoming request change two lines like in this screenshot:


The request now looks like this:


5) Execute request, execute response, turn breakpoints of.
6) Close Charles, reload farm. Your item will be there after reload.

Troubleshooting and Tipps isGift method:
  • make sure you have enough space for the new item (the item you choose to modify marks the bottom corner of the new item's place)
  • you also can buy items from the market - eg buildings - and change these to other items, eg a pigpen. If you buy things in the market isGift is already false ("true" means the item is taken out of your giftbox).
  • if you see "String Reference" instead of "String" just change this to "String" with the little dropdown-menu to edit the itemname
  • similar to animal conversion method the changed item will not be visible before reloading the farm
